Not sure how an industry founded on phone churn can put out an environmentally friendly product, but Sprint is rolling out the bright green Samsung Reclaim – made with 80% recycled materials and coming in packing made from 70% recycled stuff. Its outer casing is 40% bio-plastics and a charger that consumes 12 times less power than the Energy Star standard requires.  It’s a start, but until they’re designed to last a lot longer, I think the casing is the only thing “green” about it.
