Last week I spent 3 days among some of the best and brightest graphic designers at the AIGA Leadership Retreat in Portland, Oregon. Along with about 250 other AIGA Chapter board members from around the country, my fellow Reno Tahoe chapter board members and I approved a new direction for the national organization that will focus more on design strategy and the value of design to business. The new mandate is scheduled to take effect in 2014. This years retreat was inspiring, it was energizing, it was exhausting, it was educational and it was a blast.
